Hawkins has had a lot of bad incidents in season 1 and 2 of Stranger Things, it seems only fitting that they get something nice in season 3. In a featurette, Netflix shared on Youtube titled “Coming Soon: The StarCourt Mall!”, a huge nostalgia-bomb of teenage-hood, Claire’s, and Radio Shack, it seems like something pleasant is finally invading the small town.
The description reads:
“Coming to Hawkins in the Summer of 1985…the Starcourt Mall! Starcourt Mall will be one of the finest shopping facilities in America and beyond with options for the entire family. Including The Gap, Waldenbooks, Sam Goody, Claire’s and more! Don’t forget to cool off at Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream shop. Starcourt Mall has it all!”
The Hunt for Red October is at the front of the bookstore, Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the U.S.A. is now available, and Steve Harrington is working at Scoops Ahoy to help you cool off! It looks like babysitting won’t be his only responsibility next season. He doesn’t seem…..thrilled about serving ice cream (maybe because he has to cover his powerful hair with a silly hat), but it’s nice to see he’s doing ok since the whole Nancy thing. He’s accompanied at the register by Maya Hawke’s new character, Robin!
