The Trailer Music From Star Wars: The Force Awakens Makes Masters of the Universe Seem … Good

The music used in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer sounds so beautiful that it could improve almost anything — even Masters of the Universe, the so-bad-it’s-good He-Man movie adaptation that came out in 1987.

The addition of the Star Wars soundtrack can apparently add a sense of real gravitas to even the corniest and goofiest of sci-fi embarrassments; if you didn’t know anything about Masters of the Universe, you might think that it’s worth watching based on this video. Don’t be fooled! It’s not. Unless you’re with a group of friends who are great at cracking jokes about bad movies, of course.

I don’t understand why someone would take the trailer music from The Force Awakens and mash it up with anything else, except that the music is undeniably good, so it makes sense that someone would want to use it elsewhere. I wouldn’t mind seeing this trailer score turn into the next Guile’s Theme, helping out other sci-fi movies that need a leg up. Somebody want to make one of these for Waterworld? Or Battlefield Earth? Or The Pumaman?
