Trying to catch hermit crabs changing their homes was certainly a pastime for me as a youngster. That’s why videos like this (and seeing a hermit crab try on a clear “shell”) are very exciting for me. Photographer Steve Guntrip says he was hoping to catch the creature house hunting and his patience paid off!
