We were pretty much ready to go. The script is fantastic — the best we’ve ever had, which is why it attracted Darren in the first place. His personal situation precludes him from doing it now, and I feel for him. But now we need to find a director… We’re not going to settle. We’re going to find a director as good as Darren, if not better. Well, as good. Everyone is still pushing forward to getting it done.

Hugh Jackman on the search for a director to replace Darren Aronofsky, who abruptly left Fox Studios’ The Wolverine after realizing that the mostly overseas shoot was too much of a commitment for him.

Of course Jackman must be getting impatient, what with getting back into shape for he return to superherodom: all bulked up and no where to go. In his own words: “I can’t be eating too many more chicken breasts.”

Nice to see that everybody thinks the script is tight, and that there’s a commitment to finding talent, not just the first guy who comes along. We’ll see who steps in to fill Aronofsky’s shoes.

Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
