[Update] Wiseman tweeted this photo of the hurricane just seconds ago as the ISS passed nearly directly over the storm.

Before Hurricane Arthur made landfall in North Carolina yesterday astronaut Reid Wiseman snapped this picture from the International Space Station showing the storm’s then newly formed eye. Even terrible things can look beautiful from space.
