I spent most of this video wondering when they were going to mention Manos: The Hands of Fate, but by the end I’d realized that it doesn’t really fit the bill. Unlike other films named dropped in the video, Manos doesn’t have a cult following (independent of Mystery Science Theater 3000, that is). And I’m not even sure I could say it’s so bad that it’s good. Even with MST3k, there are only so many minutes of poorly choreographed, non sequitur, night-gowned, wife-on-wife wrestling that a person can take.

Let this video stand as reassurance to all the artists out there: if you think you might be making bad art, at least you can’t be making another The Room.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
