Looking for a ‘My Vampire System’ Movie? Here’s a Better Suggestion

My Vampire System feels awfully familiar to the average Webtoon reader. A guy unlocks powers through a book and discovers a system that allows him to level up. This isn’t the plot of Solo Leveling, I swear.

But there are fans out there who are hopeful for a movie adaptation. So far, there are only two animated episodes of the web novel. If you’re looking for a movie about My Vampire System, there’s none so far. Don’t let that dash your hopes, because there is at least a two-episode TV series adaptation. It’s also better than the anime in terms of quality, but not by a significant margin.

A Silent Adaptation?

Why are people still reading My Vampire System? It’s a classic underdog story about a guy who doesn’t acquire powers until he trains hard for them while preparing for a war against an alien race. The book is complete, with 2,545 chapters. The reviews are mixed, to say the least. Most readers complain about Quinn (the main character) and his allies’ questionable decisions in later chapters.

There are also those who complain about Quinn being saved by the plot by virtue of being the main character. Despite gaining many abilities in the book, Quinn often fails to put them to good use.
