Holy Hair Flips, the First Full Jem and the Holograms Images Are Here

All I want is for the live-action Jem and the Holograms to essentially be the Josie and the Pussycats movie with more canon LGBTQ+ relationships, but a lot of these images seem less campy than I’d hoped, especially considering the source material Universal’s working with:

Here’s the full synopsis:

As a small-town girl catapults from underground video sensation to global superstar, she and her three sisters begin a one-in-a-million journey of discovering that some talents are too special to keep hidden. In Universal Pictures’ JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS, four aspiring musicians will take the world by storm when they see that the key to creating your own destiny lies in finding your own voice.

There is an almost equal ratio of plaid to rhinestones in these images, people. We need Alan Cumming and Rosario Dawson here to camp things up immediately.
