For those looking for some comfort, this John Wick parody might help. Youtube creatives RocketJump took the depressing plot of the 2014 film and flipped it on its head. Instead of the dog dying, it’s John Wick who meets his untimely demise and now it’s up to his vengeful dog to settle the score. What follows next is a ridiculously amusing video of a dog with no opposable thumbs handling guns like it’s no big deal.
With that said, John Wick is no stranger to parody. The team over at Screen Junkies already gave the film the Honest Trailer treatment, which you can see here. Ever since they renamed it A Dog’s Purpose, I just can’t unsee.
Director Chad Stahelski is already working on the final film in the trilogy, with the possibility of a prequel TV series to expand upon the world. “Lionsgate is very interested in doing a John Wick TV show,” he said. “We’d like to wrap up the story we’re telling now and maybe save all our prequel ideas and impossible task ideas for that medium.”
Before then, you can catch John Wick: Chapter 2 in theaters on February 10.
