What’s better than Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman popping up alongside Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl in a recent clip released by the CW? Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman popping up alongside Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl with John Williams’ Superman score playing in the background, of course.

YouTube user JasonVoorhees2011 uploaded the clip, which he says was made “purely for fun,” and has since amassed more than 37,000 views. It’s easy to feel inspired when you have both red caped heroes finally flying together on the small screen, while Williams’ infectious score adds character to the scene.

Speaking of Williams, if you have a favorite film soundtrack, chances are he worked on it. His legendary history of compositions includes franchises like Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter. He also composed the music for Home Alone, Jaws, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Hook, Catch Me If You Can, Memoirs of a Geisha, The BFG, 20 episodes of Gilligan’s Island, and so many more projects.

As for Supergirl, the show’s second season premieres on October 10. And while Superman may finally be getting some screen time, I wouldn’t be too concerned about him overshadowing Kara on her own show.  Just as what happens in the clip, he’s only there to help her out on occasion.

Don’t worry, she’s got this.
