If Dame Judi Dench Can’t Get Star Wars Spoilers Out of Daisy Ridley, No One Can

Josh Gad, in addition to giving us musical gifts, is doing his best to figure out what The Last Jedi means by unsuccessfully questioning his Murder on the Orient Express co-star Daisy Ridley. Ridley has been really good about keeping plot details secret, but Gad had a hidden trick up his sleeve: the cold stare and stern timbre of Judi Dench.

In this clip Gad posted on Twitter, the two surprise Ridley with a series of questions. Dench asks, “Are you being tested for midichlorians? Is Snoke Palpatine? Are you the last Jedi? What’s the deal with Reylo? Why don’t you answer my damn questions?” In response, Ridley looks at Gad with disapproval. I’m not sure I could handle Dench’s interrogation as well as Ridley does, so if that doesn’t break her silence there’s definitely nothing any journalist will be able to do. But seriously, what is the deal with Reylo?

Besides, if you want details you should go to John Boyega, who told his taxi driver he was going to be in Star Wars (though that’s nothing compared to how our dear Carrie Fisher admits in that same clip she just gave away the big spoiler to Graham Norton).
