Artist Justin White clearly has a different view of culture than most people do. He takes iconic images from movies and television and turns them into frankly adorable cartoon images. These 48 pieces span culture from Shaun of the Dead to Game of Thrones, and I desperately want them all in my house right now.
White is showing these pieces at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles until Spetember 14th if you happen to be in the area, but for the rest of us, we’ll have to settle for the digital versions. Prints of some of the works are available through Gallery 1988’s site, but many of them are already sold out. I asked White if more prints would be made available, but it’s not certain which, if any, will be reprinted.
The fact that I can’t buy the Breakfast at Tiffany’s print has pretty much ruined my day.
Take a look. These are really great. I’ve also included White’s G-Rated descriptions of each, which, as it turns out, are also great.
