Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele Do Some Spot-on Translating for Obama’s Presidential Transition Politeness

For reasons we intellectually know but are still adjusting to understanding, we’re soon going to have to say goodbye to President Barack Obama—at least as the leader of our nation. (He can remain Dad-in-Chief as long as he likes.) So, here are Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele on The Daily Show to do a little translating for President Obama (about the 3-minute mark in the above video), who’s been a bit reserved while a man who disrespected him for years now needs his help succeeding his presidency.

Yeah, it’s all kinds of f***ed up, and Peele’s truly wonderful Obama impression along with Key’s outbursts really make this exactly what our minds’ eyes see when we watch Obama talk these days. Really though, he’s not mad, America. He’s just disappointed. (And kind of mad.)

This farewell also reminds us how much we miss Key & Peele, though at least they got to go out on their own terms.
