10-year-old game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 got a surprise update to its PC version today, including a high-definition makeover. Also included: Mac and Linux playability, Steam Workshop support, and more console controller availability. Yep, you can use your Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and/or Playstation 4 controller to play this ol’ game now, if you so desire.

Why has KotOR 2 gotten an update after 10 years of relative silence? Does this mean KotOR 2 might come to other platforms, such as the iPad, as its predecessor has done? Should we all reinstall KotOR 2 on Steam, host a LAN party, and invite everyone we know? Yes. Yes, we should.
