Variety revealed musician and fashion icon Lady Gaga has been hired for American Horror Story Season 5; however, there are no details as to what her role might be. I’m sure everyone assumes it will be something outlandish, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they went in the opposite direction much like Gaga did at the Oscars the other night.

Entertainment Weekly adds that Gaga will be a series regular. Though executive producer Ryan Murphy has said clues were scattered throughout Season 4, American Horror Story: Freak Show, we  still don’t know what direction it will take exactly. The as-yet-unsubtitled fifth season will premiere in October.
