Logan Huntzberger, Easily the Worst, Has Joined the Gilmore Girls Revival

I'm sure Matt Czuchry is delightful, though.

Of all Rory Gilmore’s terrible boyfriends—do I need the “terrible” descriptor when it applies to all of them?—Logan is … certainly one (we all know Dean is actually the worst). Now, actor Matt Czuchry, who is probably a fine human being and an innocent bystander in my Logan-hate, has locked down a deal to return to the character in the Gilmore Girls reunion.

This news comes through TV Line, who previously learned in an interview with Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino that the revival was trying to get all of Rory’s former love interests back. (She didn’t say boyfriends specifically, so I’m personally pulling for Marty “naked guy” did-he-actually-even-have-a-last-name to come back, despite his love being unrequited.)

One of “the boys'” storylines has apparently already been removed due to budgetary constraints, but that’s no problem for Logan, who probably just threw some money at the problem to weasel his way back in, as usual. (Again, I’m glad for Matt Czuchry that he gets to come back to Gilmore Girls. I really am, but Logan can go get lost sailing another yacht around the world for all I care.)

You’ll probably remember that Logan originally left Rory’s life when he asked her to marry him and move away from everyone and everything she knew and loved and also not worry too much about having a career or anything, despite how that goes against every fiber of her being. He’s probably married to someone by now who didn’t mind him not caring much about gross stuff like their feelings, goals, or friends and family, and Rory will bump into him randomly and be glad to have dodged that bullet. Right?
