Nintendo’s Mario game for the Switch looks … different. Super Mario Odyssey features, at least at points, Mario jumping into the real world of “New Donk City,” which has already been appropriately meme-ified at this point. The very reality of Nintendo’s actual upcoming Mario offering seems like something you’d get from an off-brand effort or a mod (it could still be a very good game—it just seems way out of character), which is what makes this reimagined trailer using GTA IV mods so perfect.

While the real game’s city sequences have the vibe of a ’90s “cartoon character enters reality and teaches kids to say no to drugs” after school special, the GTA version is at once a mirror image and the exact opposite of that. Enjoy.
