The wait has been long, but now we’ve got it—the fourth installment in the Mass Effect series now has a new trailer, which was fittingly released today on November 7th. (The franchise celebrates today’s date as “Mass Effect Day”, given that N7 is the insignia that appears on Cmdr. Shepard’s uniform.)
Although the trailer technically includes a voiceover from Shepard (and a female Shepard at that), game maker BioWare has confirmed that the series will officially be moving on from the character in pursuit of other worlds and other stories. So just think of this trailer as more of a retrospective, saying farewell to the world we know and including a small teaser of what’s to come.
Mass Effect: Andromeda, the title for the new game, was revealed earlier this year at E3. It is set for release in fall 2016.
