Melissa McCarthy returned to Saturday Night Live for her darkest Sean Spicer skit yet. After Spicer’s beyond-parody comments on the Holocaust this week, we knew McCarthy was likely returning, but this skit takes a turn at the end.

“Shut up!” McCarthy opens the skit. “Can everybody shut up, so I can apologize? Yes, you all got your wish this week, didn’t you? Spicey finally made a mistake.”

Addressing the “Holocaust centers” disaster, McCarthy heaves an aggrieved sigh and says, “I clearly meant to say concentration clubs, okay? Let it drop. It would be really great if the nitpickers could try and see the big picture and didn’t solely focus on every little slur and lie I say. That’d be nice!”

McCarthy then relates the story of Passover, “a.k.a Jewish Easter,” using her props.

“Happy Easter, everybody!” she closes the skit. “Oh, and by the way, the President’s probably gonna bomb North Korea tonight. Okay, Spicey’s gotta hippity-hop and deliver these eggs. And everybody – just eat as much candy as you want, cuz this is probably our last Easter on earth.”

I knew the humor would get dark, given the horrific subject matter of Spicer’s comments, but woah. Enjoy your Sunday, everyone!
