Project M is a fan mod of Smash Bros. Brawl that doesn’t require any modification to your Wii to play, and now it has a playable Mewtwo! If you’ve got a Wii (or Wii U), an SD card, and a copy of Smash Bros. Brawl, there’s no reason not to try out this game. Of course, you’ll also need to download the most recent demo version from the Project M site.

Smash Bros. Brawl modding has been around for a few years, but it’s never added a completely new, built-from-scratch character to the game — until now. One of Project M‘s main goals is to only modify the game in ways that fit in with a seamless and professional feel. We think their Mewtwo does a great job, and it’s worth a look for anyone who hasn’t noticed game mods in the past.

In case you don’t watch past the credits, the next Project M version containing Mewtwo, Roy, and other brand new features is coming in winter of 2013.
