There have been a ton of Guardians of the Galaxy casting rumors floating around as of late. By my count there’ve been seven actors reportedly in contention to play the lead role of Star-Lord (aka Peter Quill), the latest being Joseph Gordon-Levitt. And now you can add two more to the list: Michael Rosenbaum, best known for playing Lex Luthor in Smallville, and The Office‘s John Krasinski. And Drax the Destroyer has gotten in on the rumor mill as well, with three actors reportedly vying to play him.

With Rosenbaum it’s more than a rumor, as the actor tweeted that he was reading for the role. He’s worked with Guardians director James Gunn before, having done some voice acting on the Gunn-penned video game Lollipop Chainsaw, so that might be a point in his favor.

The Krasinski rumor, though, is only that: An unnamed source at ComicBookMovie.com said that Marvel is “looking at” him as a possible Star-Lord. That same source noted that Marvel is “in negotiations with” three actors to play the role of Drax the Destroyer, originally a human whose spirit was put into a physically powerful body so that he might fight the supervillain Thanos.

Those three actors are Isaiah Mustafa (better known as the Old Spice Guy); WWE superstar Dave Bautista, who recently starred in the action flick The Man with the Iron Fists; and Brian Patrick Wade, who played Craig “Encino Man” Schwetje in Generation Kill.

So. That’s your Guardians of the Galaxy rumor roundup. Of alllll the people who’ve been mentioned in connection to Star-Lord (for a recap, that’s: Lee Pace, Joel Edgerton, John Huston, Jim Sturgess, Eddie Redmayne, Zachary Levi, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Rosenbaum, John Krasinski), who would you most like to see in the role? Or has the Drax news caught your attention more?
