[Update] If the Twitch stream is experiencing difficulties, Microsoft has their own right here.

2014’s Electronics Entertainment Expo kicks off right here today with Microsoft’s Xbox press conference streaming live at 12:30PM ET (pre-show starts at 12PM). Get ready for the biggest news in gaming this week as all the biggest names show off what we’ll be playing in the coming year. What will we see from Xbox? Only one way to find out.

But probably a lot of Halo. Seriously, Microsoft has been teasing Halo news going into E3, and last year saw only a short, non-gameplay trailer for the next entry in the Xbox’s flagship franchise, so it’s a good bet we’ll finally see some real details on what a Halo 5: Guardians really looks like. We’ll also probably see what past Halo games will look like in some kind of rerelease.

Aside from that, I’d guess we’ll get a lot of PR damage control over the removal of mandatory Kinect. A lot of gamers are probably happy about it, but Microsoft still needs to put forth the image that it wasn’t a reactionary measure to help them compete with the PlayStation 4. I’m sure they’ve got something up their sleeve aside from Halo to help smooth things over, but we’ll know soon enough.
