Minecraft and LEGO were meant to be together pretty much from the start. After all, how could you have one without the other? That being the case, it was great news when official Minecraft LEGO were announced to be on the way through LEGO’s CUUSOO system. They’re not here quite yet, but pre-orders have opened, and you can pick up a 480 piece chunk (4 chunklets) complete with Steve and a creeper for $34.99.
The set comes with a number of different materials including stone, dirt, wood, grass, water, lava, and ore blocks; the ore blocks even have removable ore. Now I’ll be the first to admit that I probably wouldn’t play with this LEGO set, but it sure would look awesome sitting on the corner of the really awesome, personalized desk that I aspire to someday own. Who cares that Minecraft LEGO are basically just a LEGO set based on a game based on LEGO sets, a physical Minecraft chunk is pretty sweet and I want one. Hop over to the J!NX store to put in your order. Sets are expected to ship this summer.
