Four shelter dogs in São Paulo, Brazil were trained to be “ball dogs” at an exhibition tennis match at the Brazil Open last month. If you’re not familiar, “ball boys” or “ball girls” help at matches by retrieving and delivering balls, a job that in retrospect is very dog-suitable. Frida, Mel, Isabelle and Costela got special official outfits and everything!

Andrea Beckert told CNN they wanted to “show that abandoned dogs can be adopted and trained” and joking “it’s not easy to get a dog to only pick up the lost balls, and then to give them up!”

While the match was between Spain’s Roberto Carballes Baena and Portugal’s Gastao Elias, I think we know who the real winner is.
