Not since Shawn and Angela on Boy Meets World (sorry Cory and Topanga) have a straight live action couple filled me with so much pure squee. Now that Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been saved by NBC, we can enjoy the upcoming Jake and Amy wedding knowing that we will get one more season filled with one of tv’s best couples.

Seriously, so many shows fail to understand what makes a couple works on television. The fake breakups, the lack of identity for (usually) the female character, but among Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s many achievements they have managed to make the Jack and Diane “will-they-won’t they” work after they do. It helps that the show allows them to be an actually healthy couple that works through things and actually grows. It doesn’t make either of them fully change, but instead, they grow to complement each other and recognize that being in a relationship means actually compromising (someone please tell Olicity).

Even Jake’s jealousy of Vin from one of the more recent episodes shows that jealousy is a gross emotion and that you should trust your partner. Ugh, Jake Peralta is a gem.

Anyway, I love them. I’m so happy they are getting married and I really want Holt to walk Jake down the aisle. As we prepare for the upcoming wedding, let’s take a look at some of the most adorable moments of the Jamy duo.

Bonus great cold opening:

What are your favorite Jake/Amy moments?
