Chick-Fil-A is once again the subject of political controversy, although hilariously, this time it’s bigots who are outraged over the polarizing poultry.

GrubStreet reports that that a Nashville-area Chick-Fil-A recently donated to Level Ground, a LGBTQ+ film festival that examines the intersections of faith, gender, and sexuality. Chick-Fil-A was then listed on Level Ground’s sponsor page, much to the outrage of chicken-lovers unable to distinguish between a single restaurant and the entire Chick-Fil-A corporation.

Fearing that Chick-Fil-A might no longer be an advocate for the “traditional family values” long supported by the corporation’s President and CEO Dan Cathy, religious Chick-Fil-A devotees took to social media to bemoan the company’s descent into debauchery:

Some deeply concerned evangelical chicken-enjoyers have even begun circulating a Change.org petition entitled “CFA Goes Gay, Corporate Needs to Know!” Please enjoy a list of the many awesome-sounding organizations they wish Chick-Fil-A to sever ties with:

-The Christian Closet (gay-affirming Christian counseling)
-The Center For Lesbian and Gay Studies in Religion and Ministry (promoting the gay agenda in Christian ministry)
-Therapists 4 Equality (LGBTQ Affirmative Therapy)
-The Reformation Project (an attempt to bring the gay agenda into the church’s theology)
-Believe Outloud (an organization to promote gender equality to Christian clergy)

Gay, straight, we’re all the same, aren’t we? We all long for a moral-conflict-free chicken experience.
