It may not look like much (unless you’re into swamps) but swamps like this one produce the most beautiful sound in the world according to an online competition, and as we’ve learned — the Internet is never wrong. Give it a listen and hear for yourself.

This is the sound that won the online Most Beautiful Sound in the World competition. What do you think?

The competition was started last year by Julian Treasure, a sound expert, who kicked off the competition through BeautifulNow. Treasure judged all the entries of nature recordings with sound recordist Bernie Krause. The 12 finalists are all available on BeautifulNow if you want to see how Malaysian frogs measure up against some more of the most beautiful sounds in the world.
