One of the things about The Muppet Show that isn’t obvious to the casual observer is that it was filmed in England because even with the success of Sesame Street (or perhaps because of it), the only production company interested in trying to produce a Muppet series for adults was Associated Television in Elstree, England. While this was great for the Star Wars episode, because props and costumes could literally be wheeled down the street from the sets of The Empire Strikes Back, it was a bit of an annoying hurdle for all of the American celebrities the show was trying to attract as guest stars. But despite its technical nation of origin, according to Anthony Strand, this is the only mention of Doctor Who that ever made it on the show.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
