As part of the lead-up to Luke Cage‘s second season, Netflix recently released a trailer and some promotional images. And one of those promotional images shows Misty Knight in action!

We first saw Misty’s bionic arm at the end of The Defenders, but this is the first time we actually got to see her use it to fight the bad guys. And don’t get me wrong. I’ve loved Simone Missick’s performance of Misty as a detective: wry, resourceful, and passionate. She was plenty entertaining and engaging without superpowers, and she didn’t need the arm to be a great character.

But when you hear Misty Knight, you think of the arm from the comics, and you eventually want to see her waste a few dudes. My only real worry here is the same I had at the end of The Defenders: if this arm comes from the coffers of the Rand Corporation, that means they might be involved in Misty’s future storylines. I know some people enjoyed Iron Fist, and I don’t want to rain on your parade, but I personally do not need any dull Rand corporate espionage in my Misty Knight plotlines. Please and thank you.

We also got a wonderful promotional shot of Luke Cage using his super power of being the most lovable teddy bear in all of the Marvel Netflix canon.

In the Season Two trailer, Luke Cage says, “You can’t burn me, you can’t blast me, and you definitely can’t break me.” Judging by the way she’s jumped back from her injuries, it looks like the same is true of Misty Knight.
