We knew that most of the cast of Gilmore Girls was in talks with Netflix to bring back a revival of the show, and we knew that we would likely be getting a set of four episodes to round out the story. Now, we have official-official confirmation that the streaming service is going to be hosting the Gilmore Girls reunion party for us, with stars Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena all set to return.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, however, a title for the revival has not yet been determined, as well as an episode count. So does that mean we’re going to be getting more than the four rumored episodes? Sources had been claiming that Netflix was leaning more towards the four 90-minute eps rather than a traditional ten-episode season, but no one’s revealing any further info either way.

Sadly, although many more Gilmore actors are rumored to be coming back (and will likely be confirmed in time), reports are in that Melissa McCarthy may not be available to step into the shoes of Sookie St. James once more. Given her busy schedule, it’s not surprising–but maybe she might have time to squeeze in a quick cameo? I’ve also got my fingers crossed for Liza Weil. There’s still time!
