It’s back-to-school season, and as James S. Potter heads to Hogwarts we might as well re-visit through the new illustrated volumes. We were treated to a first look at the new Harry Potter books illustrated by Jim Kay earlier this year, and Buzzfeed just shared a couple more. See Hagrid on his motorcycle and a sketch of The Boy Who Lived!
You can listen to Jim Kay talks about his process in this short video and see the physical models he made as references for his art. It definitely gives you an appreciation for the amount of work that went into the book.
