Here’s what you need to know to enjoy this clip: Nigel Farage was behind the “Brexit” campaign to withdraw the UK from the European Union. If you’re from the United States, imagine that this child is essentially speaking to Donald Trump, and you will instinctively understand why it’s so perfect (or you’ll be offended, but in that event, it’s not likely you’re reading this website anyway).
As we should all know by now, children speak the truth, and attempts to use them to humanize yourself if you’re a raging tool can and will backfire. In the news clip above, the child first “knights” Farage but then cannot help but announce to the room—and all the viewers at home—that her mother says Farage hates foreigners. It’s the kind of thing you always wish would happen, and it’s exactly what we needed to brighten our spirits as we go into our weekend routine of trying not to think about how the world is crumbling around us until Monday.
