Unsurprisingly, Michael Bay’s Ninja Turtles Look Better Without Real Noses

Oh good, I can feel my childhood-induced trauma waning.

After seeing these photoshopped images on Imgur that removed those terrifying noses from the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters, we have to wonder: what is it about the snouts that make the turtles so much more appealing? Are they triggering our over-indulged sense of nostalgia? Do they represent a sudden and much-needed shift away from Uncanny Valley? Is it because the nose slits make the turtles look too much like Voldemort from the Harry Potter movies and we can’t for the life of us understand how they’re able to support the weight of each turtle’s bandana eyemask?

Probably all of the above, we’re guessing. Now if only Michael Bay would send the film back to post production and replace all the real character models with these instead.

The lack of lips is a marked improvement as well. That’s probably the only time that sentence has even been written in a context that isn’t ridiculously creepy.
