Look at that tiny Supergirl’s face, America! We can never do anything to disappoint her, ever!

Continuing his tradition of hanging with adorable kid scientists at the annual White House Science Fair, President Obama spent some time yesterday with “The Supergirls,” a group of six-year-old Scouts from Tulsa, Oklahoma who have designed a page-turning LEGO robot intended to help readers with mobility issues. (Obama told reporters, “This is a quote. They said, ‘It’s just a prototype.'”)

In addition to hanging with the Supergirls, the President also checked out other projects and issued a warning after observing a robot that can play catch: “The robots I see keep getting smarter every year. We are keeping an eye on that, by the way. You’re on notice, Skynet.”

At least when the Singularity hits we’ll have Supergirls on our side.
