One of the funniest games you never played, Octodad, is getting a sequel, hilariously titled Octodad: Dadliest Catch. For the uninitiated, Octodad is a game where you play as an octopus that is pretending to be a dad and husband. The game, rather than some simple comedy platformer or point-and-click adventure, is actually focused on how difficult it would be to be an octopus stuffed into human clothes, walking around as such, and performing menial human tasks. It is so hard to sweep the floor — it is the best game. This time around, the titular dadopus continues to attempt to hide his secret from his family, and will be visiting the aquarium. As one can see from the adorable screenshot above, there might be a little homesickness in those weary, cephalopod eyes.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is yet another game that got its funding through Kickstarter, and like most of them, offered some neat prizes for pledgers, from t-shirts to a very distinguished poster of Octodad himself (itself?):

If you thought the song from the trailer was amusing (it is), you can download it here. Octodad: Dadliest Catch will release sometime in 2013.
