‘One Piece’: What Episode Is the Time Skip?

It seems like one piece just aired yesterday, in 1999, then time skipped forward and BAM suddenly we’ve got over 1,000 episodes. They grow up so fast, don’t they? After all, the manga just turned 25. The characters in One Piece grow up pretty fast too. After all, they can age two years between episodes.

Where’s this time skip?

The famous One Piece time skip occurs between episodes 516 and 517, just about halfway through the series. A lot happens during that time. An entire war got started and ended between the Whitebeard Pirates and the Blackbeard Pirates, leading to the defeat of the Blackbeard pirates and the ascendancy of Marshall D. Teach as one of the Four Emperors of the world. A bunch of New Warlords of the Sea popped up as well: Buggy, Trafalgar Law, and Edward Weevil filled the power vacuum left by Jinbe, Marshall D. Teach, and Gecko Moria. Also, Nami and Ronda’s boobs got huge. Like they must have gone through a second puberty or something because my God those things could put an eye out. What’s their secret? Whatever they did they should market it. They’d make a killing. They wouldn’t even have to find the one piece anymore to get rich. With the right advertising, they could be fabulously wealthy right now.
