Pamela Adlon, who’s known for co-starring on Louie and King of the Hill, now has her own series. Better Things was created by Louis C.K. and Adlon (who have already written the pilot), with Adlon as a solo female lead, a first for FX. An FX spokesperson said:

Pamela is one of the sharpest and most endearing actresses working in television today, and we are thrilled she has joined forces with Louis to create a series that is raw, personal and incredibly funny.

Adlon will play “a working actor with no filter trying to earn a living, navigate her daughters’ lives, have fun with a friend or two and also — just maybe — squeeze in some private time once in a while.” The Emmy-award winning actress, who is also divorced with three daughters, says the stories will come from a “woman’s point of view.”

While there’s no news about when Better Things will air, it’ll probably have a similar tone to Louie. Will you be watching?
