John Oliver kicked off Last Week Tonight‘s 3rd season Sunday by commemorating the moment New Zealand’s economic development minister Stephen Joyce was smacked in the nose during a press conference by an airborne dildo.
Although Oliver says he was initially reluctant to do a segment on the Great Dildo Lobbing Incident, his hand was forced after Joyce himself tweeted that Oliver should just get his coverage “over with,” and local New Zealand newspapers began referring to Joyce as “Dildo Baggins.”
