Get your schedule books and draw a biiiiig red circle around December 15th, 2017 (or maybe your Google calendar because that’s a bit far away) because that’s when we’ll be seeing Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of the Ernest Cline novel.
Spielberg’s return to Warner Bros. to direct the film is very exciting for the studio. Warner Bros. president of domestic distribution Dan Fellman commented on the date:
Any film from Steven Spielberg is an event film, so it felt right to date this thrilling new project from one of our greatest filmmakers for the holiday season.
Because what better to get you in the Christmas spirit than a Goonies-inspired sci-fi treasure hunt?
