Disney is releasing an Aladdin Diamond Edition Blu-ray Combo Pack including new clips of Robin Williams recording for his Genie role, and to celebrate, Aladdin’s creative team appeared on Good Morning America to honor the late actor.
Co-director Ron Clemens remembered Williams’ dedication: “We recorded him in four-hour sessions and he would be going for four-hours straight. By the end, he was just drenched in sweat. He had so much energy and so much passion.” Co-director John Musker added, “He was the genie. He was bigger than life.”
