EA has been steadily attempting to regenerate interest in its Star Wars: Battlefront by adding expansion packs and new characters–and Star Wars Celebration was the place where they announced not just one but two more DLC packs that will bring in previously unavailable characters and entirely new storylines thanks to the release of Rogue One!

EA released the following trailer for Battlefront‘s new Death Star DLC, so watch it and get excited at the prospect of finally getting to navigate down those Death Star trenches, Rebel-style:

New heroes Chewbacca and Bossk will also be available as part of the Death Star DLC. But that’s not all–given that Rogue One takes place in the timeline of the original trilogy, we know now that it’s going to be the fourth expansion pack available–and will feature Jyn Erso going up against Imperial Director Krennic on the planet Scarif.

We won’t be getting any content from the movies that take place after the original trilogy, however, until Star Wars: Battlefront 2–but given that the original Battlefront continues to add more exciting expansion packs to its already existing universe, I think most players are going to be pretty content with these offerings for now.
