Comedian Kurt Braunohler rode a jet ski from Chicago to New Orleans as a stunt to raise enough money to send 500 goats and 1,000 chickens to Africa. Comedy Central filmed the whole thing for the new webseries Roustabout that premieres this month, but they’re only at about half of their fundraising goal.

I spoke to Braunohler shortly after he finishes his trip about the adventure and the charity he was raising money for. The goal is to help needy families in Africa become self-sustaining by giving them the ability to produce milk, cheese, eggs, and butter for themselves or to sell. He set out to raise $50,000 for Heifer International and the Indiegogo campaign is currently only at $24,900. The goal was initially to raise the full amount during the trip, but I think the release of the series will help get them to $50,000.

The whole thing is for an excellent cause, looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun to watch, and was a great excuse to make this GIF from the original crowdfunding video:

If you can’t wait for the series to premiere, you can always go back and check out Braunohler’s Instagram feed from when he was on the trip.
