Can we call it a "bikepack?" I'm going with bikepack.

Biking around your city in the summer is wonderful – but it comes with some downsides. Bikes are notoriously inconvenient on public transit, and frequently stolen when left locked outside. The solution? A bike that can fold into a backpack, of course!

Italian designer Gianluca Sada has created The Sada Bike, which can get so small it’s no less convenient to carry than a sturdy wooden umbrella. The bike is able to get super-tiny because of its unique spokeless wheels – which is also what makes it far easier to tote around backpack-style than other similar products.

The Sada Bike site says that the project’s “[p]ersonal style and extreme versatility give dynamism to the traditional bicycle, the subject increasingly required in this environmentally friendly age.” Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sold on that statement alone. Look to see me on a rainy day with a bikepack on the subway in the near future.

Actually, I can’t ride a bike. But if I could, I’d totally ride this one.
