*sniff* I'll miss him most of all.

At this point it would be more of a shock if somebody in the production of Gotham said that there would never be an appearance by a given villain, but still: executive producer Danny Cannon says that a tiny Jonathan Crane is in our future.

Cannon told audiences at Comikaze that “we’re breaking the story now.” Like a few other of the classic villains who’ve been introduced in the show, Jonathan Crane, a.k.a. the terrorist (literally!) Scarecrow, will appear as a young child. That’d put him significantly ahead of his college professorship, descent into madness, and creation of a gaseous chemical compound that creates lifelike and horrifying hallucinations in those who inhale it. But no worries, the show can have its scary cake and eat it too: the Scarecrow “moniker” will be passed to him by his father, giving the show a grown character for James Gordon to go up against.

Luckily for Gotham viewers, this probably means that Doctor Who will maintain its title of Creepiest Child Actor in a Gas Mask.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
