Nerds across the nation are living their best lives and getting together for “Scream Like Goku” events, which are exactly what they sound like: a bunch of people who stand in a circle in a public place and scream like everyone’s favorite drama queen/super saiyan. When I first saw an invite for one pop up on my Facebook (for Copley Square in Boston), I gave a chuckle and kept scrolling. Then my friend Snapchatted me a video from the Copley Square one, and I couldn’t stop laughing and grinning.
Both the below videos are from the “Scream Like Goku” meet-up in Washington Square in New York City, and if you watch them, you will understand my glee – and the sheer, ridiculous joy of these weird, wonderful meetups.

There are a bunch more “Scream Like Goku” events planned on Facebook, including one at Drexel University in Pennsylvania on September 29; at the North Star Mall in San Antonio, Texas on October 13; at Turlington Plaza at the University of Florida on October 13; and beneath the UT Tower in Austin, Texas on October 13. And I’ve no doubt that more will pop up soon enough. (These are all organized by random people, so double-check any event before you attend!)
Humans of the world, you are so weird, and I love you.
