Sears Wishes You A “HABBEH HARRAHAAN” With Their Zombie Site

Remember at the end of Shaun of the Dead, where zombies have been integrated into human life as menial workers?

A charmingly creative alternative look at the tail end of a zombie outbreak.  But you’ll never guess who’s picked up on a version of that idea and is using it as an actually well produced Halloween tie in.

Sears.

That’s right.  Go to sears.com/zombies and get ready to be somewhat bemused.  There’s a feed of their undead Twitter puppet, three reasonably amusing videos of zombies interacting with Sears merchandise, a zombie gift recommender (just takes you to actual Sears product pages), and a zombie creator (frankly, it’s no Scott Pilgrimizer, though).

Probably the best part of the page is the “Switch to Zombian” button, which translates all the text into a language speakable by creatures who’ve mostly chewed their own tongues off.

I can think of one perfect juggernaut brand that’s just looking for a garden supply store to tie in to…
