The return of Reading Rainbow smashed its initial Kickstarter goal of $1,000,000, but the more money its campaign can raise, the more classrooms LeVar Burton can reach. That’s why Seth MacFarlane is now matching the next $1,000,000 dollars in donations as the campaign makes its way towards a whopping $5 million dollars. Now your donation can go twice as high.

MacFarlane recently made strides to educate people with his part in making the new Cosmos series with Neil deGrasee Tyson a reality. So, from now until the end of the Reading Rainbow Kickstarter, he’ll put up as many of his own dollars as there are ways to die in the west to match new donations.

—Seth Macfarlane, probably.

Right now (as of this writing), the campaign sits at $4,114,160, so if it reaches its stretch goal of $5,000,000 before July 2, it will get a boost to $6 million.

So, if you haven’t yet, now is the time to donate your money towards sharing the love of reading with the next generation so that they might live long and prosper. Head over to the Kickstarter page to see what all of that money will help them accomplish and make your donation.
