As you probably know, there’s a Sherlock special coming up. To hype everyone up even more, BBC made a trailer teaser for the trailer which is a teas… er… uh. Hold on, this is way too meta for me.

This is a glimpse of Benedict Cumberbatch in classic Sherlock garb, and an end title card that says you can see a little more (really?) on October 7th… which is tomorrow. Oh, and a hashtag: #221Back.

O… kay. These teasers for trailers that are themselves teasers are getting a little out of hand, no? It was great when Deadpool did it because, well, it’s Deadpool, and folks were self-aware enough to get all post-modern with it and junk.

Oh, and that title animation. Doesn’t that remind you of Bioshock? It’s like I’m going to tune in tomorrow and it’ll have Cumberbatch in a bathysphere with Martin Freeman talking to him through a speaker going, “I’m Dr. Watson… would you kindly pick up that wrench over there?”
