When I’m scrolling through Instagram, I see endless overly retouched pictures and accounts that aren’t real. Six months ago, I had to stop following certain accounts. Might sound crazy coming from someone who clearly invests time into her social media. I can ensure my own posts aren’t retouched, but when I see overly retouched pictures, I feel overwhelmed, and often hopeless. That’s because I believe it’s dangerous to start comparing not only our bodies, but our lives to the perfectly filtered pictures you’ll find on social media.

It’s why I created this video. I want to show you the truth behind the selfies you see, and to encourage you all to #JoinTheRiot and embrace your natural beauty, because real is beautiful.

Love, Iskra
