Not every space launch ends with a picture-perfect splashdown, gentle parachute landing, or glide on to a landing strip. Sometimes, space travel is a little messier. The Space Junk gallery at Oobject has a collection of often bizarre, strangely incongruous images of everyday folk with the space junk that landed nearby. Most these formally orbital objects are enigmatic spheres, presumably once satellites, but that is not always the case. A large, white piece of debris with the word “SKYLAB” plainly visible is a touch more familiar.
